Life as ranchers/ music store owners.

The Guitars of Montana website comes to you from a working cattle ranch in central Montana where we dabble in fine new and used guitars and accessories. We sell them in person and online. Give us a call. We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about our business. Customer service is what we are about. Whether you come to us across the world wide web or stroll through our front door you will receive the same personal service, our prices are very competitive and we ship nationwide. This web site is designed as it is because we understand the speed of remote dial-up internet connections.
We have three showrooms to serve you, in downtown Great Falls at 2 5th Street South behind Subway, in Stanford at 94 Central Ave in the historic Basin Trading Post, and in Lewistown at Wicks Guitars, 206 West Main. You can email or call us 7 days a week.
Running a few hundred head of cattle on the family ranch in the foothills of the Little Belt Mountains and Guitars of Montana provides a diverse life style to say the least. Like my father, being here on the Schmitt Ranch since I was born, and then joined by my wife of 34 years, gives us an appreciation of rural values that we apply daily to the music business.
Guitars of Montana grew from a spare bedroom on-line business to an on-line and retail shop in Stanford, a second showroom at Wicks Guitars in Lewistown, and now, Guitars of Montana in Great Falls. We try to keep the music scene going by sponsoring events to which folks can come enjoy music and just plain have a good time.
Our mission is to provide competitive prices and the best service possible to all our customers, local and those who visit us on the world wide web.
We hope to help instill a love of playing music in folks both young and old (that would be me) hence our motto: We're here for the musician and the musician at heart

Guard Dog

Some day I'll tell you the story of this old boy.

These guys just hang around the Basin Trading Post keeping an eye on us.
